Frequently Asked Questions
That all depends on the scope of the project. A small bed, a couple trees, some fabric/rock, small planting beds – that’s a day’s work. Tearing out and removing the entire yard, rebuilding from scratch – that takes multiple weeks.
Typically we start with a consultation. When the details are known, we provide an estimate or a design and estimate, and present that to the client. Upon contract approval, installation time is scheduled. As the install date gets closer, we stay in contact to make sure you are ready for your new yard (we highly value consistent communication). When installation is complete, the yard is turned over to you to enjoy.
Labor costs can’t change much, but you can choose different materials or plants to reduce costs. Alternatively, limiting the design and reducing the overall size of the project is an option.
Most shrubs and perennials will reach mature sizes in 3 to 5 years. Trees can take 20+. You can expect little to no visible growth the first year as the plants are working on their roots.
It all depends on what you want. We provide low maintenance designs if you’re after something that you don’t have to worry about. A general rule of thumb is that more plants mean more maintenance; more hardscape means less maintenance.
Start with a basic idea of what you want to accomplish, and then call to set up a consultation.
CW Designs has a minimum of $500. A full landscape remodel can run into the tens of thousands of dollars. We can provide options based on your budget.
